February 3, 200521 yr Dont they say pitching is the most important thing in baseball? i dont understand how people are chosing the Indians' and tigers' over the sox. the tigers pitching is TERRIBLE! im sorry, but when Mike Maroth is ur ace, u have a crappy ass pitching staff. u would think that since they pitch in Comerica Park that it would help their era's but no one had an era under 4! their trying to say the tigers pitching staff is better, we had 3 pitchers with era's in the 3's! oh, the indians added Millwood, oh my god ! how terrifying for us! remember, they dont even have a 5th starter plus cliff lee fell off the face of the earth after the all star break too. it isnt about just the starting 5 anyways, its about bullpens too right? ok, the tigers signed percival. so? he has no other help, what is he gonna pitch ever inning of relief? oh my god! how could i forget, the indians have Bob wickman as their close, watch out! see what i mean, i dont get these people choosing the tribe and tigers over our sox. oh yea, the tigers are gonna sign Maggs, he really will put them over the top like he did for us here in chi-town right?

February 3, 200521 yr actually on espn message boards a lot of people seem to think, mostly twins fans, that the white sox will finish 4th behind the tigers. Me personally do not consider the tigers a threat.
February 3, 200521 yr I have to say I was suprised when the Tiggies didn't sign a starting pitcher this off-season, they could have really gone for the local boy in Derek Lowe, but would you give him $36 million over 4 years? Even though they play in a pitcher's park, they Tiggies are trying to upgrade their offense, to overcome their pitching shortcomings. They'll regret losing Bonderman in a few seasons, if they don't try to lock him up to a long - term deal, before he hits his prime. Cleveland are in the same boat as us really. They need production from the 4th and 5th starters (Millwood or Lee, Elarton, Japanese Porn Star Dude), and their bullpen has to actually perform adequately this year, but they've made some ok additions to it, and having Wickman for a whole year, depending if he can stay healthy, will help them.

February 3, 200521 yr didnt the tigers lose esteban yan, he was a RP i really like but anyways their hitting was fluke last year. Pudge and Guillen are both good players in my opinion but neither will repeat what they did last year. Enuf said Next topic.

February 3, 200521 yr Author ..the tigers are stupid..they should have gotten more bullpen help or a starting picher. why would they sign a guy with a bum knee who doesnt even want to play for them. Magglio has a offer on the table from the detroit tigers worth about 55-60 million dollars over 5 yrs. Magglio would have signed by now, but he probably hasnt because it doesnt appear as if he wants to play for the tigers. but he probably will end up a tiger because they have offered by far the most money, thats what jason stark said. maggs has to feel like a dumb ass. i would be embarassed if i were him, if the tigers were playing the sox and he was a tiger because there he would be, a tiger, for 5 yrs 55-60 mil and in 4th place, he could have been a sox and gotten 5 yrs, 70 mil Magg, u r a dumbass :finger
