April 8, 200323 yr Kyle Boeller........Late First Round (After Trading Down) Willis McGahee.......Third Round
April 8, 200323 yr #1 has trading down ever worked in the bears history #2 no one has the need to trade up to our spot for us to trade down #3 no way mcgahee will last to the 3rd round so it seems as none of this will happen
April 8, 200323 yr Boller will never last past pick 15 his stock is high right now.I personally think he will be gone by pick 10 at worst to Baltimore.
April 8, 200323 yr Right now I want the Bears getting one of the 3 qbs and I think they are probably going to have to go with a qb with the 4th pick in the draft whether its Palmer or Leftwich.
April 9, 200323 yr supposedly Leftwich really impressed people with this workout. There is just that injury fear hanging over him.
April 9, 200323 yr supposedly Leftwich really impressed people with this workout. There is just that injury fear hanging over him. his injury wasnt anything career threatening...if he impressed in the work outs then we really got to get him...oh for a real QB...just one before i die...is that too much to ask???
April 9, 200323 yr I would stock up on the D and the o-line, and draft Kingsbury late. Then acquire some garbage qb either a veteran past his prime, or a young gun that never panned out(akili smith)...then you hope the D carries you into the postseason, and the offense overachieves, otherwise you play for next season. I know we are all sick of waiting till next year, but I think things are coming together so that this could be a good bears team down the road
April 9, 200323 yr BL worked out Monday for scouts and did well I have read, the Bears do not want to pay the big signing bonus for QB. Palmer signing bonus is now reported at between 14 and 16 million, is his asking price and that is not even the contract talks yet started. BL is asking for 10 -12 million signing bonus, the Bears are NOT going to pay any QB that, Pass they will say see ya , we will get CHEAP qb in 2nd round. You can take it to the bank boys.

April 9, 200323 yr After the Rick Mirer and Cade McNown fiascos, I just can't see the Bears drafting a QB in the first round, unless they trade down. Especially with Angelo pulling the trigger.
April 9, 200323 yr I still would like to see the Bears snag Suggs with the 4th overall pick. Also it looks like Mike Doss has dropped a bit and might be available with the 36th overall pick. Until John Shoop is gone there is no sense in drafting a QB any higher than the 3rd round. We are still in an age where defense wins championships.
April 9, 200323 yr I think the concensus is correct that the money involved in a QB is a lot, but how much will it cost us to sign a pass rusher? Isn't that going a lot also?

April 9, 200323 yr We deperetly need a corner.... but we need a lot of other things too. Well probably go with leftwich or suggs with the 4, but Newman is for real too. Kennedy is a good DT, but maybe not good enough to take with the 4.
