Does anyone know when Frank will be back? I have heard anything from opening day to July. Does anyone know for sure?

Idon't think anyone knows for sure. He had a tricky surgery. It's also complicated by the fact that he hits with his weight on the front leg and that is the ankle that was injured. Once he hits in ST everyone will know more. I heard the rehab is progressing and he should start hitting in ST but not at the beginning.

I suggest you wait till spring training to get any new info on Frank.

I think June will be the most likely return date, with Everett holding down at DH for a couple of months, until Frank is completely healthy.

I'm more optimistic than that. Based on what Rowand said about Frank being in great shape and working hard, I think Frank will join the club sometime in April after an extended ST to get his batting eye back.

Whenever it is, I hope the Sox don't bring him back before he's 100% recovered. With an in-shape and motivated Carl Everett (contract year - he'll want to cash in 1 last time in his career) holding down the DH spot til he gets back, we'll be in good shape. Then, let's say he comes back in June or whatever when it starts to warm up - he'll give our offense a shot in the arm. Then hopefully he can stay healthy for the remainder of the year and put up his usual OBP of .400+ and get some big hits for us, as per usual.

To have him rush back and play the season with injury would be the worst possible scenario.
