This goes into my "When did it become cool to..." List. Along with:

Blackout covers for head and tail lights (Yeah, it's cool that it makes it difficult for the guy behind me to know that I'm stopping)

Bending up the license plate on their motorcycles. (OK, I'm speeding, let me give the cops another reason to pull me over)

Driving with only fog lights when it's not foggy. (You still need your tail lights on when it's dark, asshole!)

Brian had those on his 93 Cobra for a short time. There is one existing picture of it and I found it. (Understand that he denied they were as dark as they were until I found evidence! :P )

There are tail light covers on his ASC McLaren Capri, but they aren't dark at all and are used for body line melding (or something to that effect), but I still don't like them.

I just don't get the reason to fine over it.

Is it tacky? Yes but jeez as long as their equipment isn't shoving I don't think it's something you should be fined over.

I'm glad Virginia cops have eliminated all other crime and can worry about such a trivial thing.

what if you're a plumber, is it cool then?
