Tannerfan, are you a fan of Danny Tanner from Full House?

I have no idea who Danny is. I'm a fan of Chuck Tanner, Sox manager from the early 70's.

The guy who persuaded Dick Allen to accept the trade from the Dodgers and come play for The Sox.

So, I hear AJ is starting to bond with the pitchers.

That's a good deal. I dont know where the reference to the s***ty sitcom came from......

Welcome aboard BTW. :cheers

To see the changes KW has made, I would suggest looking at the 2001 and 2002 teams, and then looking at the 2005 team.

You CANNOT say that he has not put us in a position to win. In 2003, we had one of the better 1-2 punches in the majors going into the year, and we then were given a boost by Loaiza, who had a Cy Young year. We were also weak in CF and at 2B during the year, and instead of waiting until the deadline to acquire them, he went out and got us Carl Everett and Robbie Alomar, so we could have them for longer. That was one of the best teams in the majors, quite frankly, and just didn't turn it on until it was too late.

Last year, we were not good going into the year, but again, he went out and got guys to give us a better chance. The main thing the team was missing was another top starter, so in June, he goes out and gets Freddy Garcia.

This year, we have probably the best looking team going into the year since 1993. We have a full rotation, we have a lineup with essentially no holes in it, we almost have too many relievers, and the key issue at ST is to see who makes the roster as a utility infielder. If utility IFer is your biggest concern, I think you have a pretty good team.

That is all.
