look, im not here to say borchard is going to be a superstar but people keep saying "its time for him to move on" as if we should just let him go or trade him for a 35 year old pioneer league outfielder who weighs 300 pounds.  at one point, scouts who know a hell of a lot more about baseball than any of us ever will know called him the best power prospect since mark mcgwire..there was a reason we payed him 5 million dollars.  so whats the problem with just running him out at charlotte for the next couple years.  something could click, its not a ridiculous notion...we all saw chris singleton and scott posednik and how they were horrendous until they were 28 (yes singleton was only good for one year but thats not the point).  the point is, thats what AAA is for.  keep him down there and let him keep trying to figure things out.  ozzie says he works his ass off and its better than running a 32 year old former steroid user reject who actually had a lower batting average than joe in the outfield last year.

I agree with you. We have at least this season to see if things ever click for him, as he's got one more option remaining. If they do, it can really be an unexpected boost to the team. If not, we'll have lost nothing more than what has already been lost.
