What does that mean. Bruce Levine just reported he broke his foot

...and were f***ed...

Wow, if that's really the case than I guess B-Mac will be up with us starting the season. This really creates some dilemmas though, because if B-Mac pitches great, than when Buerhle comes back IF he has broken his foot, then there will be real pressure on KW to trade Garland or Contreras instead of sending B-Mac down to AAA. Hopefully this isn't true though, because it would be a HUGE blow to our chances even if he only misses 6 weeks.

It's true, just heard it on ESPN Radio, s***!!!

ESPN 1000 is breaking the story. buerhle will not Start opening and will be out. This is extremely depressing.

I guess BMac gets to stick with the club for awhile then eh? What a terrible way to have it happen though. Hopefully Buehrle heals quickly...

Well they didn't say he broke it definitely. They said he could be out 2-6 weeks.

Let's certainly hope it's only 2 weeks, and it doesn't have any long - term repurcussions. This is getting pinned. Big, big news.

might only be out a couple of starts, thank god we have B-Mac

who should start opening day now?

If B-Mac continues to pitch the way he is pitching, than we can survive, but if he explodes like countless others in his spot, we better hope the bullpen and offense comes through.

No doubt it'll be Freddy Garcia.

Amazingly I don't think Sox fans will be that worried about B-Mac. It'll be the other 3 in Contreras, Garland and Hernandez that'll probably decide whether we sink or swim in April.

hamburgers!!! :crying

Highly distressing news.

Last year though April was Buerhle's worst month of the season with a 1-1 5.93 ERA, but that doesn't take away how big of a loss this is. Lucky we have that depth now in pitching isn't it.

The score just said it could be a torn Ligament

What a s***ty way to start the week.

Drink, anybody? :drink

Is that better than a broken foot? Who's a doctor round here?

all of a sudden we dont have this pitching depth we were happy about

I would much rather break a bone than tear a ligament any day...
