A statewide Amber alert (search) was issued late Thursday after Jetseta Marrie Gage (search) was taken from her mother's house by Roger P. Bentley (search), described by police as a family acquaintance. Bentley took the child about 8:15 p.m. and left in a pickup truck. Police don't have a lot to go on because most of the information is coming from the girl's 7-year-old brother, said Cedar Rapids police Lt. Kelly Fitzpatrick "The grandmother and children were there. The grandmother was looking out for them and that the acquaintance took the 10-year-old without permission," Fitzpatrick said Friday. Police don't know why Bentley took the child or where they may be headed, he said. "Believe me, we've been hitting a lot of leads to try and find her," Fitzpatrick said. He was the man they were looking for with the Amber Alert. Heads22 Posted March 26, 2005 Share Posted March 26, 2005 KCRG-TV reports a body has been found. No reports if it's her, but not a whole lot of bodies are found real often in Iowa.
