Dye or Everett?

Featured Replies

Both are out on FA market in one of my leagues, and I am going to pick up the best bat as an extra utility guy for my bench. I have all of my positions covered, and am just looking for bonus points on off days. Who would you pick up?

well judging from the spring id say its an easy choice and you should take everett, but dye will probably have a better average, and will play more than everett

Everett

Everett. He could be batting 3rd at least against righties until Frank is back. He will be in position to knock in a bunch of runs. Once Frank and Everett goes to the bench, you could probably drop him for Dye or another outfielder.

Everett's going to be great for about a month or two. Dye will probably have better counting numbers at the end of the season, Everett the better rate stats with fewer ABs. Everett will make it tough for Ozzie to keep him out of the line-up, He should super platoon him with Rowand & Dye, replacing one of them everytime we face a RH starter.

I say you stick him at 3B and laugh at him, but maybe that's just me.

Definitely Carl at this point.
