April 3, 200521 yr After we get him back I just hope Ozzie isn't dense enough to try and make him play 1B again.
April 3, 200521 yr On a side note how cool would it be for a minor leaguer to get a meal bought for them by the greatest player to ever wear the White Sox uniform.

April 3, 200521 yr QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 3, 2005 -> 09:31 AM) On a side note how cool would it be for a minor leaguer to get a meal bought for them by the greatest player to ever wear the White Sox uniform. You can say that again.
April 4, 200521 yr This reports should be read with some skepticism. He had two screws and a bone graft inserted into a bone. There should not be any scar tissue involved with this unless it involves the incision site. Another possibility is he has had plantar fascia problems with this foot in the past. It could have tightened up with the extended period of non-weight bearing. His progress should bear watching and may take longer than expected. The latter date of June 1 may be more realistic. Herm has talked about scar tissue all along. I have a tough time believing that he wouldn't know that it was there. He is with Frank pretty much every day.
April 4, 200521 yr QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 3, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Herm has talked about scar tissue all along. I have a tough time believing that he wouldn't know that it was there. He is with Frank pretty much every day. Yes, he would know if its there and Herm is an outstanding trainer so it wouldn't slip by him. The question I have is why is it there? Unless it is from the incision site, bone grafts do not normally produce scar tissue that would need to be torn to run on.
April 4, 200520 yr I think the Sox trainer and doctor's know what they are talking about. I look for Frank to be back anywhere from 15 April to 1 May and the Big Hurt is going to be hungry! I can't wait to see him in action and really believe he will be out to prove he still has it.
