'Apprentice' Shelton Contestant Arrested

 

 

 

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Real estate millionaire Chris Shelton, a contestant on NBC's "The Apprentice," was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.

 

Shelton, 22, one of six remaining contestants competing for a job with Donald Trump, was taken into custody early Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. He was released after posting $250 bail.

 

A tribal police officer said he heard a noisy Shelton in the hotel lobby and asked him twice to calm down before arresting him, said Seminole police spokesman Gary Bitner.

 

"He was loud and he just wouldn't calm down," Bitner said.

 

 

Shelton was peeved over a $20 cover charge for the hotel bar. Shelton "was at the lobby causing a scene," the police report said. "There were several patrons in the area who were visibly shaken by his actions. After several attempts to calm Shelton, he continued to yell and curse, refusing to calm down and stop causing a scene."

 

Shelton and some friends were staying at the hotel and celebrating his continued success on "The Apprentice," Bitner said.

 

"We don't really have any comment," NBC spokesman Jim Dowd said. "This is clearly a private matter with Chris." All but the final episode has been taped, and it isn't known if Shelton makes it that far.

Regardless of being likeable or not.. he knows business which is the only reason he is still there. That and the others on his team when they lost have effed up worse than him. He does have good business skills.. just horrible people skills.

Poor people skills make him not likeable. If you don't have people skills, you really don't have bussiness skills, just my opinion.

I know plenty of successful people with horrible people skills. One has very little to do with the other in many fields. Especially in real estate, which he is in.

 

Do you even watch the show..? He's a very smart guy.

I'm a couple of shows behind, but from what I've seen from this season, the contestants are definitely on a lower level talent wise, than with the previous 2 seasons IMHO.

And 90% of that "jerk" persona is edited to keep people watching. Angie even said that he was not at all as bad at they edited him to be.

As for who I want to win...it has always been Kendra...she has come up with the best ideas...even when she wasn't project manager...She has made her team win so many times.

I've never watched a single episode, but I heard about the whole "blow up" story this morning. Apparently, he got pissed off about the $20 cover charge because he was already staying at the casino hotel in a $1000 a night room. I think he had a legitimate complaint.
