I must say in the small sample size-Willie has been good with the stick. He' stopped slap hitting like Luis Castillo and has been more rip it and grip it. The result is pulling a lot of balls that could be danbgerous down the line. I'd like to see him maybe get a little mor PT, especially with Pods out

I don't know if this would be "tinkering" with the outfield too much, but I've been thinking of this for the past few hours now. Start Willie in CF (he has played there before), and move Rowand to LF, for a game or two, allowing Iguchi to stay on the field.

Ya but willie would have to get on  base first, before you could do a hit and run.

 

He had a .360 OBP vs. righties last year. Better than just about anyone else we have to choose from...

Not entirely true... Juan Pierre's arm isnt that great and he is a perfectly fine CF....
