April 19, 200520 yr Redskins acquire the 25th pick of this year's first round from the Broncos. I'll post a link ASAP, but the Broncos get the 'Skins 3rd-rounder this year, and a 1st & 4th in 2006. (Don't quote me, though)

April 19, 200520 yr I'm a litle upset as the resident Bronco fan only for selfish reasons. The draf tis a fun day that I will be less into now. Anyways, yes htis pick will be higher than 25 next year so I am happy about that. However, I think the Redskins are getting ready to make a run at Edwards or Williams with their new pick. I think Nick Saban will be very interested in this news.

SB Yeah, all they need to do is go 11-5 and it's worth it even though you just said next year's draft is considered stronger. So then they have to have the 29th or lower pick for equal compensation. Not gonna happen. Let's not forget that they have no idea right now who's going to even be on the board at 25...why trade now?
April 19, 200520 yr Even if they want to trade up to say, number 4, then it's going to cost them two number 1's this year's 3rd, next season's 4th and whatever else the team they're trading up for wants in the draft chart. remember whe the bears traded down with the jets, it was 2 number 1's and a 3. so it'll probably cost them this season's 1 and 3 and next season's 1, 3, and 4. that's why Washington blows.

Washington proves again why they are the dumbest front office yeah they have 2 first rounders now, aside from that they dont pick again till the 4th I believe followed by two other late picks.. They dont have the ammo to move way up in the draft, not only that they lose a 1st next year.. and a 4th... wow
April 20, 200520 yr Daniel Snyder is under the impression he's the Yankees of the NFL. He wants to compete for this year alone, he can buy the players to compete in the future and trade them away for picks if need be. Problem is, every year they get new players that don't mesh together and don't get the season turned around until its over. He might be getting this pick to trade up this year, or maybe he's going to go after someone like Heath Miller to upgrade the TE position, who knows.
April 20, 200520 yr Redskins Eyeing Campbell Looks as if they want a QB and think Jason Campbell is worth moving up for. If this happens, it should mean Auburn would have four players go in the first round. I'm sure it has happened before and probably recently with Miami or someone, but that is pretty impressive. Campbell is a definite sleeper. He played under 4 different offensive coordinators in his 5 years, so he has had to contstantly learn new systems. While that hurt him in college up until this year, it should help him in the NFL because he knows so many different types off offenses and offensive language. His arm is strong and is accurate. In the past, he tended to have happy feet and want to tuck the ball and run too quickly, but he really seemed to grow out of that the past season and a half or two. I am not saying he is ready to start, but it doesn't come as a real surprise to me that he has gone from being almost an unknown (in terms of the draft) a year ago to a possible first round pick this year. He has done nothing but get better every year.
