April 23, 200520 yr Buehrle - 21 wins Garcia - 18 wins Garland - 20 wins (something he's completely capable of) Contreras - 13 wins El Duque - 11 wins (he wont get very many starts, ebing in the fifth spot) 83 wins by our starting rotation, call me crazy but garland could surprise us all this year, and could be the missing link that will bring us to the world series That was my prediction in December. Here are the projections for our starters. Buehrle - 29 wins Garcia - 19 wins Garland - 29 wins Contreras - 0 :| El Duque - 19 wins And we can assume Contreras will win eventually.

April 23, 200520 yr With 18 wins in Apr worst case is 88 wins. Best case 100+. Other teams have done it. Oakland's done it with less talent than we have. It's entirely possible we could finish with the best record in the majors. That's enough optimism for me

April 24, 200520 yr Anyone remember that Ken Rosenthal piece where KW thought he has 5 starters who could all win over 15 games each (and got pretty much shot down by other GM's experts etc.). Maybe, just maybe he wasn't so crazy after all, but I doubt things will keep up the way they are. If we get 2 or 3 over 15 wins, we should definitely take that IMHO.

Jose can't win 15 games if he can't get decisions and he can't get decisions if he keeps throwing 100 pitches thru 5 IP. The others have a chance but the O will have to do better with RISP to have a chance.
