Brian has finally figured out that if the Sox lose, just stay away for about a half hour and then I am fine.  He is the same way when Ricky is knocked out of a race or the Mariners lose (not so much the Royals as he has come to expect them to lose lol).

I normally have people around me. I've just found people that will get angry along with me and therefore we discuss why we are angry and it all works out.

I decided at the end of last year to take a big step back. I've decided not to go to any games and I'm not working my personal schedule around watching them on TV. Just this year.

Losses are a lot easier to swallow when you haven't invested time or money into them. As my wife put it last year, this team is getting to be bad for your health.

I angrily gnash my teeth until the next game starts

Actually, the only time a loss really gets me upset is when it's coupled with a Twins win. As long as the Twins lose, the Sox can't lose any ground.

Losses make my more angry this year for some reason.  I guess I'm starting to expect a win.  When they have lost this year, it has been close.  Often, I can remember one key decision (leaving Freddie in 7th vs O's) and it pisses me off.  It shouldn't but it does.  I think the more I'm into the games, the worse the losses are.  Wins are sweeter though.

I'm with ya there. This year the bar is set far higher than it has been in years past.
