Prior just went down on a line drive

Featured Replies

Watching the Cubs game and Mark Prior just got SMOKED with a come-backer.

Uh-oh. He looks like he's hurt badly. I mean, real badly.

He's done for the day. He just got hit in the right arm, he's already welting near the right elbow.

As soon as they stood him up, he walked off the field. This could be disasterous.

Prior just got drilled on the elbow by a line-drive from Brad Hawpe. He was taken out of the game writhing in pain.

Ouch....That team can't buy a break.

That ball could not have caught him more directly on the elbow. There's definitely a chance it could have fractured his elbow.

Hate to see a guy like Prior get hurt, but you have to admit...

...this is so Cubs.

My boss just called me from the game asking for details.. he said Prior looked like he was in massive pain. :o

It welted up almost immediately.

Undoubtedly. Looking at his reaction and the reaction of the trainers, I have little doubt something isn't seriously wrong. It looked like it hit the elbow RIGHT ON THE BUTTON.

I'm thinking fracture.

Ughhh. They just replayed it and you can HEAR it hit his elbow.

Dear Lord, that looked painful as hell.

I hope he's okay. Seriously, putting my Cubbie hate aside, that looked really bad.

Cubs announcers keep saying it hit him above the elbow, but there's no way to tell where it hit him.

oops.

Classless.

I know you might think its funny see someone hurt but comeon if you true baseball fan you should show some sort of compassion to anyone that gets hurt.

Can this thread be deleted?

I don't think the injury itself is funny at all, I think it's funny that the cubs keep getting so f***ed over.

Of all the Cubs tickets I have gotten for my boss.. he's never seen Prior pitch.. he was like a kid in a candy store this morning when he told me he was going today.

Absolutely. Sounded awful. Bet something is broken. Hope he recovers.

Wow, what a catch by Brad Hawpe.

That's terrible. I would stay far away from Cub players. Their luck gets worse by the day.

Just remember.....we were laughing like crazy at the Cubs injuires last season early on in the year. Then, we just so happened to lose Frank and Ordonez for the season, and our season was over.
