Prior just went down on a line drive

Another thing that won't make me shed a tear about a possible season-ending injury for Prior is that we still have another series against the Cubs.  I know a lot of people would rather face their best.....but I would be just as happy if we beat an A ball pitcher (might be tougher for us it seems).

I can't disagree with that sentiment. :gosox4:

So help me god, if you don't stop watching that game Aidan, I'll see to it your ass is banned.

:lolhitting

I wonder if they even x-rayed it yet. There was a ton of swelling. Still, remember that they disperse injury info as accurate as the Iraqi Information Minister used to so I'll take positive or negative information with a grain of salt

The Comcast update just said that Prior left the game and drove himself to Northwestern Hospital for precautionary X-Rays.

Holy crap... MJ&H just replayed the call and you seriously could hear it hit his bone.

:o

Interesting terminology they used. Precautionary X-rays are usually done for very minor injuries, etc.

The Cubs couldn't bother to drive him there? Jeez. That just seems stupid unless its completely insignificant

Hmm.. my boss said they watched him get into an ambulance at the players lot entrance.. :huh

According to MJH on ESPN 1000, Brenly called the incident a highlight reel tape. For who? Us?

I couldn't believe that one either. They let a guy with a possible broken elbow drive himself to the hospital? Maybe it isn't that bad afterall.

Derek Lee hits another homer. The Rockies' pitching REALLY, REALLY SUCKS.

Just relaying what Comcast said. I have no idea if the information is correct or not.

I highly doubt Prior actually drove himself! I know he's the Messiah and all, but it would seem painful to have to keep your right elbow elevated while you drive.

Can somebody point me to the thread we had on this for Jeter's injury? It was the same thing. Big 'ole swelled up elbow. Jeter played the next day.

Game plan against Rockies.....test their 3rd baseman. Also, we should be able to run at will against them. They've only thrown out one base runner all year.

Something tells me that he wouldn't be capable of driving himself. When Brian smashed his hand a year ago at work, they refused to let him drive himself and had his coworker (our neighbor as well) drive him.

Game plan against the Rox...

Show up.

You have a 75% chance of beating them.

Good point, even though I hate the idea of our team having to outslug another team on the road.

LOL, the Cubs bring out LaTroy to finish the game with a 7 run lead. They sure must have a lot of faith in him.

Your point was right on too. The Rox catchers suck. My concern if I have any will be with our relief pitchers. The Rox still light up relief pitchers at home. And, guys like Cotts, Vizcaino, Marte, and Shingo are susceptible to such things. Shingo ought never touch the mound at Coors.

I'm worrying about you, Jabroni, and I don't even know you.

I guess it was a good move on my part to pick up Derek Lee in my soxtalk fantasty league at the start of the season.

It sucks when the Cubs are the only baseball on. :crying

Just think of it as watching the Rockies game..

But it's hard to decide which team is worse.
