May 30, 200520 yr The White Sox just signed a kid named Ricky Angelo. He is being touted as the "Little Rocket" due to his size (5'9 160). He's a pitcher out of Chicago who came to an open tryout and blew away the Sox scouts. This kid can flat out throw. His fastball was clocked at 99 and has a 12-6 curve that breaks nearly 3 feet! He does have some control problems but the sox feel that can be taken care of due to the fact that he has never been coached. He didn't even play high-school ball! He should be starting a rookie ball stint in Arizona but with coaching the White Sox feel that in a year or so he could be in the bigs. May 30, 200520 yr I have a feeling that someone is pulling your leg. This statement seals it for me. but with coaching the White Sox feel that in a year or so he could be in the bigs. So basically we are taking a guy that didn't pitch in high school and is very wild and will transform him into a MLB pitcher in a year, nice.
