Whitewashed in '05 Posted June 7, 2005 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I don't know if you guys have seen this but Erstad plowed over Estrada and then went on top of Estrada to tag the plate. Plus, Estrada hurt himself more by wearing that older style mask/helmet combo as opposed to the safer hockey mask style helmets that a lot of catchers use now. Erstad would have been tagged out if he would have slid in, instead he smashed into Estrada and scored a run for his team. It was just unfortunate that Estrada got hurt.
