April 27, 200322 yr I was talking to baggs about Billy and he mentioned something about Koch having a sore arm. I was just wondering if there was someone with some inside info that knew what was wrong with him? He seemed ok tonight besides the hit but he has no velocity. I know some posts have contained some info about it but I would seriously like to know what the hell is with him. Is he injured or just can't get it together or what? Thanks to anyone who knows.
April 27, 200322 yr all i know is what i have heard from a friend of mine on the inside.. billy has a sore arm and is trying to work through it........how severe it is i dont know and wont till i see my buddy tomorrow...........ill have more info then..........

I dunno if they were just bulls***ting though. He pitched relatively well tonight actually, that home run was muscled out, just like Mags was the inning before. Both good pitches and both just barely HR.

April 27, 200322 yr That homer he gave up in the ninth was a classsic Chinese Home Run -- just inside the pole and barely over the fence. If we hadn't moved the fences in last year, it would have been a harmless double. Plus, they got four outs that inning.

Both good pitches and both just barely HR. but most of koch's pitchers were 86 -88..he had one real high fastball at 90..even garland was reaching 86...even if you add 5 mph koch is still at 91-93 , occasionally 95...this is a guy thay should bring it 98 anytime he needs it if we take a one run lead into the 9th tomorrow..can we really bring in koch to pitch???

April 27, 200322 yr Neal Cotts is gonna make you wanna eat your words. neal cotts wont be helping us this year...so i could give a rats ass about koch...he's probably 2 years away..in the meantime if this team folds up this season and KW twhite flags the season and bartolo and maggs are moved if neil cotts became the next randy johnson it would still be a bad trade... the koch trade weakened the sox for the '03 season..so imo it cant be considered a good trade

April 27, 200322 yr if we take a one run lead into the 9th tomorrow..can we really bring in koch to pitch??? I'm a fan of Koch but I say no. Not until they know for sure that's he healthy. If it's a close game tomorrow, bring in Marte.
