4.2 IP 4 H 3 R 2 ER 4 BB 6 SO 2 HR

I'm willing to bet Lance was just a bit nervous... :) Not a bad start at all after the layoff. Castro is piggy backing him.

Zaleski blows one for Kanny as the Intimidators lose.

Tracey with a solid outing with 7 IP of shutout ball. Young back on track.

Wow, Jerry Owens 3-4 tonite with a walk, he's up to .315.

Did not know Chris Young had dipped into the low .230's ... good game for him tonite though.

Baj gives up 2 walks and a HR, good nite for Brian Anderson, 2-4 with a HR.

Barons 3 Chattanooga 1

W-Tracey (7-3) L-Hall Sv-Jenks (16)

Great Pitching from Tracey didn't have a huge number of K's but had great command. Young had a long homerun that he hooked just fair into the LF corner. Owens had a 3-4 game and Rogo had another good game. Pedro Lopez drove in games first run with a double. Barons had to battle both Lookouts and the Umpiring crew that has given us trouble all year were at it again tonight. The one I loved was Ryan Sweeney being called out at the plate when the catcher had the ball come out of his mitt and Sweeney already touched the plate before the throw even arrived at the plate. Hager goes tomorrow good luck with Ria behind the plate.

Also regarding the BriSox game, it should be noted that 2 of our stud Domincan League guys had very good first games. Salvador Sanchez went 2-4 with a walk-off HR, 2B, and 3 runs scored, while Ramon Sanchez got the start and ND giving up 1 run (1 ER) in 5.1 IP. He also k'd 7 and walked 0.

Great start for those 2, I didn't even know we had sign a pitcher called Sanchez but I knew we had the outfielder. Reading about him though, he's got 3 plus pitches and great stuff, and he had a real good outing tonight. Definitely keep an eye on these two for the rest of the year and into the future, it's good to see the increased scouting in the Dominican Republic starting to pay off a little.

Ramon Sanchez is also 21, on the old side for Bristol, although coming from the DSL is abig change in and of itself.

Ok thanks for the info on his age. By the sounds of it though, he could almost pitch in Kanny right now, if he continues dominating in Bristol with the stuff he's got. Our starting pitching depth keeps getting better. :)
