None of their pitchers walk many people; their BB/9 stats are ridiculously low compared to other staffs. So I agree that low K numbers don't really tell the story (especially considering what Silva did today).

Because if it were 162, and you subtracted 81 for 1st place wins and subtracted 81 for 2nd place losses you have a tie not the 1st place team clinching.

 

162-81-81=0 meaning the 1st place team clinched but that's not the case.
