June 25, 200520 yr If we sweep we'll be on a 10 game winning streak, 30 games over .500, and probably 11.5 games up on the Twins. ALL IN THE MONTH OF JUNE!!!!
June 25, 200520 yr On the topic of WS contenders. Yea, were a CONTENDER, but theres going to be 7 other contenders come October and we have to beat 3 of them. Not easy.

June 25, 200520 yr f*** those articles. Those short sighted losers can't even remember 2000. Remember? We were the darlings of baseball, the best team in June. Too bad there were a rash of injuries, Schueler did relatively nothing putting us over the top, and we got our asses handed to us by a MUCH BETTER Mariners team. 89 mine filled games left. It's a long f***ing season.
June 25, 200520 yr Exactly Civic. If we don't rally and win today's game (it's 6-2 in the 8th as I write this) somebody in Sunday's papers will probably blast our team as not having enough starting pitching with Contreras and Duque not reliable enough. Anything can happen. We have a very good team and exciting team, so far playing as a team. I'll leave it at that personally while staying confident we have a chance to go far.
June 26, 200520 yr Author After yesterday's loss I don't feel like writing too much. But I will say this. We are still 6 gms better than any one else in the L column including STL. We are going to lose more games with runners thrown out at home, guys getting picked off first, bad pitches, & errors in the field. It's inevitable when the season is a marathon. But I wouldn't change a thing. Aggresive play is what got us this big lead & it's what will keep us winning in the 2nd half. BTW, Milw beat Santana & the Twins. With a 4 gm winning streak, they are looking to sweep the Twinkees today. Lee's been an impact player in that series. No damage from Sat's loss to the Cub.
