The Score 670

Featured Replies

I've been a pretty big score listener over the years but I am getting so annoyed with them lately. You would have though the Cubs just won a road game in Cincinatti today. Virtually no Sox talk all day. Whenever I put it on for a few minutes here and there the only topics discussed by the hosts are:

- Corey Patterson

- Derrick Lee

- Mark Prior

- Kerry Wood

- The NL wild card

And it's not that the Cubs fans are calling and forcing these subjects to be discussed. The hosts will rant for 10-15 minutes about these topics without taking a single caller.

Yeah. I guess they need to fill in as much Cub talk for the next year to make up for all the Sox talk they'll be doing 24/7 next year.

Infinity Broadcasting I beleive. It's not the Tribune if that's where you were going.

Get over it. They won today.

Well it would be nice to have an outlet on TV or radio to be able to hear about my favorite team. I live in Chicago and the only coverage I get is the pre and post game show on AM 1000. ESPN TV is a joke. They only care about the AL East. I'm pretty much stuck with the Internet to get White Sox info.

:crying

I heard the sox are switching to the score next year, but they are keeping Farmer and Rooney. Am I right?

Yes. Farmer and Rooney are hired by the White Sox not the radio station. They will be back next year.

J.Hood is a cub loving kiss ass i cannot stand him on radio, I was happy he was shipped to weekends he sucks.

This is very important to remember: guys like Ed Farmer, Rooney and Joe Buck are NOT journalists and usually admit as much. They are club employees. This doesn't make them lesser guys but it should somewhat change expectations.

J.Hood is the biggest Sox fan on the station..I remember listening to him a few weeks ago after a Sox win and he was about to hyperventilate he was so ecstatic..

Didn't hear the broadcast, but huge Sox fan...Been listening him for a few years now

Is that why he is in Wrigleyville bars with his show all the time? Thank goodness he is only on weekends.

JHood is a Soxfan...ok!

He does remotes from Wrigleyville becasue that's where the station sends him, ya know, his Job?!?

When the Dodgers were in town, he did a remote from the South Side and couldn't stop exclaiming his love for southside remotes and to be around Sox Fans.

In fact, rumors are that the score might want him to the Pre and Post game Sox host next year.
