Yeah, Kenny Rogers :fyou

My first thought was that I was pissed but, than i'm just happy Pods got the experience............

I feel about the same way, but I can't help but feel a little dissapointed....

I think Francona did a perfect job managing the game. He, as a WS champion, knew the value of the home field in the WS, and did what he could to best enable the American League to win. He saved three closers until the last inning in case the game went long, and saved the best closer of them all (and a Yankee at that) for the very end. Likewise, he saved Pods for the entire game for the possiblity he might need him in a critical pinch running situation. Francona knew what he was doing - and I applaud him for it.

Now, assuming Pods is on the main ballot next year... you know what to do, folks!

I'm glad Camera Boy did than Garland. Garland was in a bit of a jam. But got out of it. I'm actually quite happy Rogers got lit up.

Rogers = Asshole.

im not pissed that scotty didnt get in but you can bet your ass that if it was jeter he would have gotten in ab.

If it was Jeter, he would have came in for Tejada in the 2nd and played the rest of the game. :headshake

I was a little bit saddened that Francona only gave Pods the chance to field, not to run. I could have cared less if he batted, but if he was coming into the game, I was hoping it would be as a pinch runner.

At least he still gets his bonus.

im not mad, as long as i hear that scotty had a good time im happy

he got to hit in batting practice

What did you expect. Anyway if Konerko would have gotten a hit then Scotty would have been able to bat.

I'm not pissed and trust me, Scott isn't pissed either.

I think he banked $75G when it was all said and done after his selection.

Its 100G $25,000 from the league $75,000 from a stipulation in his contract

Since this thread won't die, I'll give my answer. No, I'm not pissed. In fact, Scotty probably had a better All Star experience than anyone else in the game considering what occured to punch his ticket to Detroit.
