Someone had a bit too much coffee this morning...

Giambi is having a better season than Konerko this year

I say put Rowand at 2 and Iguchi at 3rd. Iguchi gets to hit for power like he's accustomed to and we get to see if Rowand just needs to be in the 2 spot.

Aaron Rowand is not a 2 hitter. He can't bunt, and he doesn't have a swing to move runners over. He also doesn't hit well down in the count, and doesn't have the patience to take as many pitches as you need with Pods on base. Rowand in the two hole is not a good idea.

I completely agree, plus the fact there's no f'n reason to mess with the 1-2 in this lineup, arguably they've been the best 1-2 combo in baseball and it just wouldn't be smart to mess with it.

He seemed to excel in the 2 slot last year.

He hit for a high average, that doesn't mean he excelled. We also didn't have a lead off hitter would could get on about 40% of the time, and stealing a base every other game. He would not get the job done.

We also didn't have a very good leadoff hitter last year and he didn't have to move anyone over. Just cause his numbers get better doesn't mean it's better for the team.

Our lineup is underachieving right now. PLAIN AND SIMPLE, with the exceptions of pods, gooch, and everett who have been hitting all year or getting the job done, aka moving the runner along or getting on base.

pods CAREER .278 / THE ONLY GUY HTTING ABOVE CAREER AVG .294

gooch CAREER 05' .270 CANT COMPLAIN

thomas CAREER .307 / SHORT 05' SEASON SO FAR BUT STILL NOT GOOD .219

konerko CAREER .276 / 05' .252

dye CAREER .271 / SLOW START BUT CLIMBING READILY 05' .261

everett CAREER .276 / PLATOONING AT DH W/ FRANK 05' .265

rowand CAREER .288 / POWER NUMBERS ARENT WHERE THEY SHOULD BE 05' .284

pierzynski CAREER .288 / 05' .247

crede CAREER .254 / NOT FAR AWAY BUT STILL 05' .248

uribe CAREER .261 / DOWNRIGHT NASTY 05' .236
