No love for El Duque?

Recommended Posts

I suppose his L balances some W he got earlier when he didn't pitch nearly as well.

It was certainly a nice game. Had we not run ourselves into 3 outs in the first two innings, we could have gotten to Wade Miller and won the game.

Don't forget the bases loaded situation too!!

Last night was just such a frustrating game...

El Duque was in classic from. Keeping the hitters off balance and throwing a great game...

Wade Miller was sucking it up as per usual this year...

The difference was that the White Sox managed to gift wrap the outs and by the time our offense had become a little more focused it was too late and Miller had already developed a rythym...

Still the internet was down last night so I wasn't in a position to give any love to anyone although El Duque did have a fantastic game, lets hope Jose can give a repeat....

Duke was great tonight and should have been an easy win if our guys could learn how to hit a fastball down the middle on a 2-0 or maybe even 3-1 count. It was sad to see so many cookies go right by them, especially with the bases loaded. Well lets hope this heat gets to manny in left field and he cant play and we win.

I've probably ripped Duque more than anyone else on this board and he definately deserves credit. Keith called it too, telling me all week how Saturday was going to be a well pitched game by Duque.

Too bad the offense didn't get rolling. Duque has more zip on his pitches and he's looking more like the Duque of old.

I think when El Duque is healthy he can still compete with the best of them. I just question his age, and the condition of his shoulder. Do they still use cortisone shots? I just hope he can last the year because El Duque has a champions heart.
