its justified tho...when someone posts something that says nightengale is saying on the radio that the deal is done, i think alot of ppl would posting. unfortunately for the 1000000th time this appears to be a false alarm

omg a light bulb just went off in my head........not that this might be realistic, but if we were trying to get huff/baez and we would send baez to florida as the reliever they wanted? maybe they are trying to kepe the pen intact by getting baez to move him. i cant think of any other real reason they would want to pay so much for a guy who would be our 6th pitcher outa the pen

Who says we have to depend on Duque to start in the postseason?  IF we make it, I'd have no problem with him not starting.  Ozzie better not start him above the big 3.  Gordon could help you out a lot more than Duque could in the postseason.  Gordon and his 2.72 ERA sure sucks.

I didn't say he sucks, but his health is a concern after he makes a lot of appearances. His walk rate has almost doubled from last year, he has allowed 11 of the 17 inherited runners to score (compared to 6-37 in 2004 and 7-37 in 2003,) and he has already pitched 50.2 innings. I love the guy, but I just don't trust after the amount of work Torre has given him so far.

nah, nothing....this was a false alarm. they were talking about that nightengale article posted earlier in the thread on am1000, but its nothing new, old news, stuff we knew on monday

No. I can't say for sure on Levine, but the Score has crap for sources. All they do is report what's in the friggin papers, and pass it off like they heard it first.

I know this is a little extreme and probably will never happen, but if we do acquire Lowell with Florida picking up a large portion of his salary, assuming Marte is in the deal, Lowell spun to Minnesota for J.C. Romero? I know they want a 3B bad, and Romero would be the perfect replacement for Marte.

 

I know it would never happen, but it really is a perfect fit for both teams...
