May 5, 200322 yr Rau Durham is hardly a franchise player though. no..but he was a much better player then most sox fans gave him credit for...atleast when he was here we had one of the better 2nd baseman in baseball...we dont have that anymore...another position we are now mediocre at best

May 5, 200322 yr Jimenez is one of the best hitters of our team right now, and i think that he will hit .280, pop 15 -20 HRs, 100 runs, 60 rbis, 10 SB, .350 OBP%... that´s not bad. Worthless Ray Durham is playing for one of the best teams in baseball, he is doing what he did in a sox uniform, this .330 BA will fall to his .280-.290, and his others numbers for the season will be 15 HRs, 60 RBIs, 100 runs, .370% OBP, 20 Sbs. I like D´angelo, what yesterday was not his fault... and his patience at the plate is great and nobody talk about it.

I like D´angelo, what yesterday was not his fault... and his patience at the plate is great and nobody talk about it. have you seen him in the field??...he has no range and when he is on the move he cant bend over al lthe way to the ground..so alot of those grounders go right under his glove... 15-20 homers???...what his career best so far??..like 4....did you see him running the bases last night???...i think he would give paully a run for his money in a foot race.. bad attitude , little power , less speed...he is not what we need..he is not what any team needs...he is not gopnna hit 300 all year and when he comes back to earth his deficiencies will be that much more glaring
May 5, 200322 yr I didn´t say that D´angelo is better than Ray... I don´t agree with the Worthless! I think Jimenez would have value as a utility infielder. Starting? Its a huge hole in our lineup.

May 5, 200322 yr After 31 games, here are the major underachievers ... Not necessarily in order, but here they are: Konerko. Thomas. Daubach. Valentin. Crede. Lee. Rowand (now gone). Maybe even Ordonez, for all the DP's he's hitting into. Koch. White. Colon and Buerhle have been average. Garland. Like Jimenez or not, he hasn't been underachieving. I tend to agree Jimenez isn't the 2nd Coming and he does have holes in his game ... but he's not the reason this team is languishing.

You cant project his current numbers over the entire season. That only works if you have proven you can put up those numbers in the past. Personally i dont think hes good enough to retain the starting job, so projecting is worthless with him.
