Maurice Clarett

Rookie running back Maurice Clarett went unclaimed on waivers and he has put himself in a really bad position. Teams are very leery about taking on a player who showed up in Denver's training camp at a hefty 248 pounds and then demonstrated little work ethic. There has been very little interest in his services from any team in the league. The other day it was thought that Clarett would be able to find his way on to some team's practice squad. But now, it doesn't look so good. Maybe the Canadian Football League?

Will this kid ever make something of himself? Will he ever become a shade of the record setting back that he was in his freshman year at Ohio State? He continues to amaze me with his high opinion of himself.

Any thoughts? I know some people out there thought he was railroaded out of Ohio State and that he took the blame for alot of things that were out of his control.

What Hype...he didnt play for like 2 years or something and didnt get drafted high either....werent too many expectations

The hype during and after his FROSH year. Also the hype that has kept him in the spotlight(for the most part) since he was kicked out of school. If he wasnt hyped then we never would have heard from him again. Unfortunately, we keep hearing about him.
