199 Homers

Featured Replies

I know we are no longer a home run hitting team but as of right now the Sox have 199 home runs. i know the sox and yankees have some record going for most consectutive 200+ hr season.

Anyone know what that reacord is and anyone think we will reach it?

No longer a HR hitting team? I thought we rank like 3rd in the AL in home runs.

Ya, we're the Sammy Sosa of HR hitting teams.

All solo shots.

:headshake

apparently you didnt watch yesterdays game :P

With a HR tomorrow it will be the White Sox 6th straight season with 200+ HR as a team. This will also be the 6th for the Yanks as well.

Paulie needs to go deep tomorrow. He's sitting at 99 RBI.

That's what I want to see....PK to get 100. Wasn't he stuck on 99 a couple of years ago?!?

Yes, 2002 IIRC. He had never had a 100 RBI season in his career up to that point. Still didn't get there in 03, and he finally did get there last year.

Kong's RBI totals before this year.

1999 - 81

2000 - 97

2001 - 99

2002 - 104

2003 - 65

2004 - 117

I hope he gets that 100th today.

You are probably thinking of Maggs when he was stuck on 99 2 years ago.

for hitting 200 Home Runs 6 years in a row. Yeah they really lost a ton of power.

Losing 42 homers in a year is a lot, no?

they way these experts made it sound the Sox would be lucky to hit 100 Home Runs.

Yeah experts made it seem like we would be in the lower 3rd of the league in HR's... instead we are like what 3rd in the AL behind yanks and rangers.
