spiderman
I generally think Farmio does a good job, but I can't stand when he gets credit for calling a HR, like he did for Iguchi in Game 2. If you listen to enough to enough of the radio broadcast, you probably hear Farmer speculating about a White Sox player hitting a HR about 15 times a broadcast....'His next HR will be his whatever', or 'If he pitches a ball in a certain location, he could crush that ball' Again, not meaning to rip Famer - I think he's solid as a broadcaster, but don't be so fast to credit him for calling Iguchi's HR unless you're also willing to say he was wrong the 15 other times he called for one earlier in the game.... That's my rant. BTW, I am going to miss Rooney!

I thought he would get better wood then Dye but did not think he would homer.
retro1983hat
I'm tired of Farmio and his no-sock-wearing, baseball-pants-sporting ass.
winninguglyin83
Farmio is first-class, top of the line. Knows the game. Loves the White Sox. anybody who refused to report to the Yankees in a trade will always get my love.
RyGuy22
QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:34 AM) I'm tired of Farmio and his no-sock-wearing, baseball-pants-sporting ass. I know Farmer very well and he is the biggest class act in the White Sox organization. If you knew the things he does for people you would not be so quick to say this. When I was younger, he would take me and and a friend of mine to the clubhouse and meet the team and everyone in the organization. He would also let me sit in the booth with him and watch the games a couple times a week. And it is not just me, he does this for a lot of people. So dont be so quick to say bad things about him. The Critic
I'm sure he's very nice to a lot of people, he just bores me as an announcer. He's not terrible by any means, just dull, IMHO. and athomeboy, no solid info on Rooney's next move. I saw an Anaheim rumor on here a while ago, and our own "Chicago Baseball Insider", STEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPH ( sorry about the cheesy MJ&H ripoff there, lol ) has said that Rooney's maybe possibly pleasepleaseplease not 100% out the door yet.
