    Hopefully, it doesn't become a factor, but I wanted Brandon in the ALDS and the ALCS with Viz being the one to take a seat. Lets not even make it an issue!! GO SOX!!!!!!!

    in a short series it was ok to leave him out - our pitching was good enough. in a 7 game series though i'm wishing we had another starter out of the pen, or someone who could even start if the need (god forbid) arose like what's happening with the Angels right now. I see no need to have Marte and there are many situations where BMAC would be useful... this decision doesnt make sense to me.

    I agree. Leaving Viz off the roster is the move to make IMHO. BMAC can eat innings out of the bullpen and proved himself as one of the best young pitchers in baseball in the 2nd half of the season. Though I do have to say, it is VERY nice to have the depth on this team that we can even have a discussion about leaving BMAC off the roster.

    Marte did not take BMAC's place. It is El Duque who has taken McCarthy's playoff position. Between the Duke and BMAC, I certainly will choose the Duke.

    I would rather Vizcaino be left off. He the more useless one. El Duque is kind of taking over his role. If I were Ozzie, I'd add McCarthy and take Vizcaino off or add another position player (i.e. Gload).

    This is not a problem, and I've began beginning to believe in the postseason experience factor.

    B-Mac is a rookie.. until he gets more experience, I'd keep him off and welcome him to the rotation in 2006.
