Made Sargent before we hit Thailand, then they wanted me to do a B Billet (DI, Recruiter, MSG) or I'd have to get out, which I did. My Unit was disbanding anyways due to Clinton cut-backs. I was with 1st ANGLICO (Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company), 1st SRIG, which was an airborne unit across the street in Pendleton from Force Recon. Had 42 parachute jumps before a good friend of mine died after he got tangled in his chute and drowned in Lake Pulgas. Just curious.
