Would we be as mad about not getting tickets

Featured Replies

I think I would be much more comfortable watching the world series on tv if hawk was broaddcasting these games, and that if they were, people who failed to get tickets like me wouldn't be as upset

but then again the world series is pretty damn cool and I'll live either way

:gosox2:

Rooney and Farmer are still calling games.

I'll live, I've listened to them all season and rarely listened to Hawk.

i would still be upset but it definitely would help the situation. I am a huge Hawk supporter and, even though this post season is the hilight of my life, I would love this so much more if Hawk was there with us. He is a joy to listen to and represents exactly what most sox fans are thinking. He makes everything more excting and conversely, when we lose he makes it so much harder to swallow. I sure hope he is planning a surprise visit to the radio booth.

I don't know. I guess I'm indifferent. Why isn't Hawk and DJ going to the playoff games anyway? I haven't heard of them going. To me, that just makes it seem like they really don't care about the team as some people would like to think. I'm not saying they're not watching us on tv, because they definately are, but it makes me wonder.

The only thing that would piss me off right now.. us not being in the playoffs.

Exactly.

Hawk is just reviled nationwide outside of his fan base as such a big homer. Conversely, his boosterism is a big part of his appeal to his supporters.

So why doesn’t this homer have his heiny in the seats during this glorious run? I gotta say, it looks kinda small of him. At the least, it’s pretty peculiar.

Who goes to work on their days off? It's a long season with a lot of travel and time away from home. I'll bet Hawk and Co. are happy to be home with the family and watching on TV. Taking a month away from their off season isn't something I would expect from him. Do you think he loves doing play by play so much he sits in his living room and does it for fun? Preparing for the games and doing the games is a lot of work. I am certain he enjoys it, but work just the same. And shouldn't a TV guy support his profession and want to see it on TV and not be at the game?

Am I weird that I am not mad about not getting tickets? I knew I probably wasn't going to get them anyways, so why get mad? The Sox are in the World Series, and that is all I really care about. Sure I want to be there, but so did tons of other people, who all happened to have more money or better connections than I did. It happens, its life. I still get to watch my team on TV.

Exactly Mike. Think about what you're complaining about people. The White Sox are in the World Series, enjoy this.

I would much rather watch a WS game on TV.

I'm not kidding myself...I'd much rather be there. I've been waiting my entire life for this...and who knows when it will happen again for us. Hopefully every year...but until that happens, this may be our only shot at a World Series.

I'm going. :D :D :D

I'd rather be at the game, no doubt. The air around the ALCS was incredibly electric, and I hate to miss it. But on the other hand, I knew I wasn't going to be able to get tickets. I am content with that.

I love the pre-game, the post game, the interviews, the replays. The convienence of bathrooms, concessions, and I can choose which idiots I watch the game with. I've attended enough Championship games in other sports to get my fix. But every fan should get a chance at a Championship game. Watching the Penguins skate with the Cup at the old stadium was a thrill

Elmer Fudd could be calling the games and I wouldn't care. Just as long as the picture I see on TV has the Pale Hose on it, I'm fine.

I didn't expect to get tix, so I hold no animosity at all about it.
