October 25, 200520 yr http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/mb/message.asp...sox&msg=51515.1 I found this on the board. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I received this from Corg who asked I post it. =============================== Ncorgbl, This is the first I have been able to get into my husband's e-mail. I am sorry to have to write this sad news at such a happy time for the White Sox. Scott passed away on September 22. The same date as the White Sox clinched the series in 1959. Both of our sons and myself were with him at home that day. His health had been deteriorating for a number of years. Our sons feel that he has become an "Angel in the Outfield" for the Sox these past few weeks. I am just sad that he is not here to see them win the World Series, but I am sure he is watching from heaven. Please let his friends on the Sox Board know that he did not just desert the team. He was truly a life long fan. Sincerely Margaret Tackett Mrs. COL SAT ======================================== A great warrior is gone from us, but will never be forgotten. SAT46 came to us 5 years ago during the 2000 season that so many of us came together as a White Sox family. We are all better for having known him, he is sorely missed. I am convinced that the Sox' great end of season and playoff run has had the Colonel's help. I grieve and miss my friend. Ncorgbl
October 25, 200520 yr I used to post there, and that guy was as classy and nice as they come. This really makes me sad. Rest in peace, Colsat.
October 25, 200520 yr A class act indeed. Here's hoping SAT's Little Boat makes it to the far shore this year, with his spirit steering her.
October 25, 200520 yr QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) A class act indeed. Here's hoping SAT's Little Boat makes it to the far shore this year, with his spirit steering her. I remember the boat thing. Sad to hear. Hopefully he's seeing the Sox happenings from above. RIP.
