October 27, 200520 yr Any word from the mayor's office yet? I want a nice parade down Western that lasts until St. Pats! I just want to know when to head back to my home town. The suspense is killin me.
October 27, 200520 yr According to the radio this morning they are saying Monday. Monday sucks. It is Halloween and my kids have Halloween parties at School and of course my wife since she is helping with the party wont be happy to be helping and not having her kids there. Why it isnt tomorrow or Saturday I dont know. I am sure others are in the same boat.
October 27, 200520 yr Im skipping school to go to the parade. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
October 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 10:47 AM) Tomorrow during lunch time, down LaSalle Street. TICKER TAPE. Time?
October 27, 200520 yr I love the fact that it's going to be a ticker tape parade, it just adds something special to it. I'm really thinking that this parade is going to help the whole thing sink in because right now I'm still in a state of disbelief.
October 27, 200520 yr SWEET, I won't have to skip work. Can they put it together that quickly?? I heard Monday originally.

October 27, 200520 yr especially for a mayor that is a sox fan, it was probably all setup day one of the season

October 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) DAMN! Totally missed that it was already posted. NEVER MIND! You were only late by a half hour, don't feel bad.
October 27, 200520 yr Why have 2 celebration events? A parade and then a rally, especially if it's on different days, would draw much smaller crowds than if there was one giant celebration rally. The Bulls championship rallies were always on weekdays, and I remember not too many kids showed up, even though school was out for the summer. It was mostly adults & workers in downtown Chicago. Virtually everyone who works downtown shows up.. but if it's on a Saturday, a majority of them would probably stay in the suburbs, or wherever they live. I don't expect it to be the size of the Bulls rallies, probably a tenth of the size, I'm guessing 50,000. WE'll be able to see the stage better though!
October 27, 200520 yr If it's on LaSalle, I couldn't ask for anything more. I'll go on my lunch break and bring my camera.

Well the initial report was of a parade culminating in a rally at Grant Park...so I don't know...I want a parade and rally...I want to hear their words, not just see their faces.
