1.) 98 Yankees .714%

This isn't the poll that you're thinking of from espn. He just calculated the winning percentages from the regular and post seasons. Pretty impressive there, this team was special, period.

If you think about it from an outsider perspective, the White Sox dominated the league all year and in the postseason too. And it is true, astounding! 110-64 overall record.

The 98 Yankees are clearly the best team of the WC era. But you can definitely argue the White Sox as the second best team of that same time period.

Just because of the staff alone. If the Sox can find a way to sign PK they could be looking at some very good years and some GREAT battles with the Indians.

 

If PK doesn't turn out to be an option I trust KW to come up with a good plan though. It will just be tougher without the rock in the middle of the lineup.
