No you're not.  I can remember him too.

Now if you could remember like Black Jack pitching with the Sox, that would be a different story.

Lyle Mouton...that is going way back though.  I remember he hit a game winning homer against the Rangers early in the season.  The Rangers were unbeaten at the time IIRC...8-0 perhaps?  I'll dig it up real quick, even though I think I've dug it up before...lol.

EDIT:  Ya, I thought so.  Was off by 1 in the W-L...Texas was 7-0 going in.

Mouton, game winner

Black Jack? Try Gary Peters!

LOL

I was of course talkin more about us young'ins.

Gary Peters was a littttttttttle before my time. :D

I remember black jack. I also remember the White Sox beat the Yanks in a game they were no hit in. I think they ended up winning 4-0 but I may be wrong.

I'm trying to think who threw the no-hitter against the Sox. I was probably 6 when it happened.

The Andy Hawkins game? he only went 8 innings though.

Hawkins couldn't go nine innings because the Yankees were losing in the bottom of the 8th 4-0. They batted in the top of the 9th, didn't score and the game ended. I took my, at the time 6 year old son to this game. He fell asleep for most of the game as Hawkins mowed the Sox down. Yankee outfielder errors contributed to the Sox scoring. This was one of the last games played at Comiskey. :gosoxretro:

Just did a check, I'm almost positive it was Martinez. I was thinking Dave, but couldn't come up with his last name for some reason. Mouton is quite a bit larger than Dave, right?

I dunno, Davey was on 'roids then.

Hawkins got killed by his D.

Specifically, Jesse Barfield's comedy of errors in the OF.

Lyle has a great speaking voice.... and he played the game.

Side note.. John & family moved into their new pad in the western burb's over the weekend..

What does this mean? Where is his career headed? I really liked listening to the way he called a game. I sure hope he is not going North.
