Anything that makes the Yankmees worse is just fine by me.

agreed. I like Farnsworth's stuff but Flash has the mentality to close in a big pressure city like philly. He showed it in Chicago and Boston.

Last year it was starting pitchers. Now the market's gone crazy for relief pitchers.

 

And the White Sox probably have something to do with that. Teams saw the success we were having a good bullpen, and getting someone like Hermanson who had closer experience to a good deal, that would be below market price right now. That won't be happening again.

That, plus you can look up and down the list and see teams that wound up being in much worse shape last year because of their bullpens, and it reads like a "Who's who" of baseball teams. The Braves, the Red Sox, the Yankees.
