Actually, I kind of enjoyed this comment:

23. (tie) Chicago White Sox

You know what we admired about the White Sox during all those decades without a championship? Unlike Red Sox fans, they had the decency to keep their suffering to themselves.

Awesome. Someone at ESPN who actually understands White Sox fans.

I think that is a great comment, and it's true too.

Most of my friends who didn't live around here were always shocked to hear that the white sox championship drought was longer than the red sox.

Not Anymore!

Enough already! We get it! You won. Now, can we have a moment of peace? Sheesh, you guys are practically as bad as Yankees fans now.

nice swipe at spanks and bosux fans, too... :headbang

Did you see the football misery index?

My favorite Quote:

Hopefully with nine NBA titles, three Super Bowl titles, three Stanley Cup championships and now a World Series within the lifetimes of most New Englanders, Boston fans will finally quit plaguing us with their "No One Has Ever Suffered Like Us" bull.

Were we really more miserable than the Cubbies last year?

Doesn't look like anybody has it yet.

Going into last year the Sox were like 2nd...behind the Cubs. Of course the White Flag trade was mentioned.

Here's where they had us last year.

4. Chicago White Sox

All the attention goes to the poor fans on the North Side but how about a little compassion for the beleaguered folks on the south side? Sox fans are still paying the price for having their team throw the 1919 World Series. They not only haven't won any postseason since then, they've only played in the World Series once -- the worst mark by far. It's enough to make you want to jump from Comiskey's upper deck ... if you could climb that high.

Amazing what a World Series win will do for the overall outlook of a franchise.

By the way, here was the top 5 (or bottom 5, depending on how you look at it):

1. Montreal Expos

2. Cleveland Indians

3. Chicago Cubs

4. Chicago White Sox

5. Milwaukee Brewers

And it appears that it was done before the 2004 World Series, cause they have the Red Sox ranked at #6 with no mention of their WS title.

It would be perfect if they followed that advice.
