January 11, 200620 yr QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) They are bailing like rats from a sinking ship. I wonder if guys are bailing to avoid the embarassment of being cut or not playing. The US still has Clemens, Haladay, Petitte, Sabathia, Sheets, Willis and Zito as starters -and a like roster of relievers. The roster will only be 30 with a minimum of 13 pitchers. The most games any team can play is only 8. A lot of players may 'decide' to go home.

January 11, 200620 yr This thing is definitely a joke, I'm just hoping Freddy and Javy will drop out but I get the feeling that they wont. Edited January 11, 200620 yr by Rowand44
January 11, 200620 yr I think more will follow, espically guys from teams with a chance to win this year. The more names that drop, the easier it will be for other players to do so, I think we definitely saw that with Japan, once Matsui said no Ichiro and Iguchi soon followed.
January 11, 200620 yr QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 07:08 AM) I have to confess that I no idea what kind of numbers of players were involved in this. And I have to confess that I didn’t know Javier Vasquez was in the WBC.
