At stake is a chance to become the first African-American in NASCAR's premier series since Willy T. Ribbs finished 37th at Michigan International Speedway on June 15, 1986. Unfortunately hes gonna have to qualify his way in which could be trouble but thats what hes best at. This may be an audition for a Toyota team next year but hes already 45 years old and doesnt have much time left.

March 28, 200620 yr Apparently Jeff B is still ticked at Gordon, but doesn't think he should get that much of a penalty for shoving Kenseth. When Burton pulled up next to the altercation, I seriously thought he was going to jump out and help Kenseth. After reading an article that was on either jayski or that's racin' (about JB still being ticked at JG), I am starting to think he was going to and decided against it at the last minute. I think Nascar needs a fight like the one Cale Yarborough and whatshisface got into years back after wrecking each other on the front stretch at Daytona (I think it was Daytona anyhow lol).

April 2, 200620 yr I had a feeling i could go to this thread and see you venting about Burton. I saw what happened and immediatly thought of you being pissed. I for one am relieved that the wreck Jr. was in wasn't serious, and he's been able to stay up front all day. Here's to bad luck for Johnson
