How about it!? :)

The new video games are coming out, with current rosters, and the White Sox will be an animated juggernaut.........

I am going to pick up MLB- The Show this week (who is this ortiz guy on the cover? :huh )........

2k6 comes out later in the month.......video games will be that much more fun this season with a loaded Sox team!

MLB 2K6 is even worse. Jeter is on the cover of that one. :puke Still gotta get it though.

Anybody hear which game is supposed to be the best? Without MVP (an MLB version anyway) I'm not really sure which one to get.

There's only two to choose from, haha. MLB The Show which is only on PS2 and MLB 2K6 which is the only MLB licensed game on every console.

Well, I guess that makes my choices easier. MLB 2K6 better not suck!

I'm sure this issue has been hammered to death so I'm sorry for asking again, but there are no MLB video games for the PC this season, right? No releases lined up?

Has anyone downloaded that MVP2005 mod for '06? Is it worth it?

Nope. MLB The Show will only be available on PS2. MLB 2K6 will only be available on Gamecube, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, and Xbox. There will be no MLB game for the PC.

That game looks like ps1 graphics, not that I blame them...theyve never put out a decent baseball game.

well, at least they completely ripped off mvp 06's swing stick.

mlb 2k4 was one of the best baseball games ever made... and then MVP came out and i fell in love with it.

it will be interesting to go back to the way it was.

Jon Garland's throwing motion isn't right and he has high socks in that game from what I saw on the video.

I LOVED triple play baseball, for ps1.

The extreme homerun challenge in that game was incredible

High Heat Baseball 2002 was and still is the deepest baseball game I have ever played. Plus, the player creator/editor in that game was awesome.

Its funny, but I remember playing a season and trading for Freddy Garcia (funny how that worked out.) Kind of makes me want to re-purchase this game just to see how it holds up.

High Heat Baseball 2004 is my most hated baseball game on any console ever.

Triple Play was MVP before the name was changed to MVP. Of course they did some big stuff to the engine.

I got MLB 06 The Show today. It's awesome. The controls are really fluid and gameplay is awesome. The franchise mode is really in depth. I love it. 2k6 doesnt seem like it will be as good. The hitting and fielding is different and seems to suck...MLB The Show all the way...plus if you buy the game, you can get a free white sox hat...and by free i mean, you spent $40 on the game, so here's a New Era White Sox hat...

Franchise Mode Preview - 2k6

watch the videos that are linked here as well... it looks solid.

EDIT: although the guy who wrote the article who thought he was a genius for getting miguel cabrera is really, really lame.

I have always played EA sports' made baseball game so this year I dont know which to buy. But no matter what game is out there, it is going to be great to play as the world champs the year before. Although every year I have the sox winning it all, good thing it finally happened.

On the PS2, how does the play on MLB 06 the show differ from the MVP games? Is it an annoying change in controls and gameplay or is it not that bad? I don't think I have ever purchased a sports game that was not put out by EA Sports.

This game and any baseball game outside of NCAA this year is no more than a rental. If i want to play a franchise, i'll open up my Out of the Park.

Bernie and Damon for Cabrera and prospects? Thats insanity. No thanks.

I'm really mad about the whole liscensing thing that prevents EA Sports from making MVP 2006. I pulled out MVP 2005, and it's a really good game that I am still having a lot of fun with. I'm trying to tinker with the rosters a bit, but that's obviously a tedious process.
