I've been to a bunch of air shows, I've been to some events with flyovers, and I've been up close with military jets before (have a buddy who flies Hornets). And I have NEVER seen a flyby like that, where serious jets were that close to the crowd. They seriously could not have been more than a hundred feet above the light standards. It was really amazing. People were all sort of rattled by it in the upper deck.

Did anybody watch Buerhle as they showed the video montages and he was supposed to be warming up? He would watch the monitor for several minutes between every pitch

fly by was sort of scary

They had a fly by last august when we beat the yanks and Randy johnson and it was equally awesome. I thought that one was so great that i was expecting this one and it didnt scare me as much. My girlfriend, though, nearly s*** her pants.

The flyovers at the cell are really unbelievable and should be there for every big game. It really gets the crowd going.

good video post! the fly by was unbelieveable! i was sitting in right field and it was somethin else to see those F/A-18s fly past. later on in the game, i headed up to get a drink and saw the two air force pilots who did the fly by sortie. i shook that captains hand and told him it was unreal. we spoke briefly, and i just told him that we could see the jets fumes comming outta the afterburners and that they came in right ontop of the hardeck. real friendly guys. it was cool to see all the service men and women there last night.

Um... the Air Force doesn't fly F/A-18's, which are navy jets - the pilots would have been Navy or Marines.

And where the heck did those pilots come from that they could go home, land, de-gear, and get to the park again during the game? I think perhaps the air force pilots were pulling your leg.

But yes, it was great to see all the military uniforms. Great experience for men and women of all services, some of whom were in from other parts of the country.

That's right about the time I had a huge lump in my throat and tears welling up in my eyes. I looked around and noticed that probably half the men around me looked the same way.

How do they even time something like that fly by?? I mean, they flew over at JUST the right time, not a second too soon or too late. AWESOME.

i happen to know the military quite well. i forgot that the Navy Blue Angels also wear blue covers, just as the Air Force does, which is why i got services mixed up. i could be wrong on the aircraft but i thought they were Hornets, but seeing as tho the Air Force flies 15s, 16s and 22s, i know it was a Navy fly by.

great vids =)

Awesome! I was about two section over from there and saw them comming at about half way through the song. Timing was perfect. You could see them seporate a bit then pitch just a little to get the after burners going. I hope to hell the do that again tomorrow. I will plan on shooting my own movie. :usa
