Cubs announcers

Featured Replies

Bobby "our savior" Howry comes in to keep the game close. first pitch, 3 run home run. First thing Kermit the frog says is the wind did not help that one. I get so sick of these announcers blaming the god damn wind. If Howry did not serve a f***in meatball up, this would not be an issue, the wind is not that important.

They're cursed...

His name is kermit the frog, i wish he would break into somewhere over the rainbow justo nce.

According to Santo, Howry made a brilliant pitch... the likes of which would have foiled the great babe ruth himself...

... but austin kearns just got lucky

Then a confused Santo called his team the Cincinnati Cubs and recalled his days hanging out with Grandpa Simpson in the ole canteen in 1921 wearing an onion on his belt, as was the style at the time....

Then he said they decided to express their love physically, as was the style at the time.

Nice.... always like to see another Soxtalker from Palos Park...

Of course he did!

You're just jealous. I'm not precisely sure what of, but you are.

I was there in full Sox gear (my brother is a Reds fan....better than a Cubs fan right?) and their was NO WIND AT ALL during the last 3 innings of the game, and in fact shortly after the game ended the wind shifted and was blowing in.

Howry's problem is he threw a high fastball and Kearns hammered it. Actually, if that ball is hit in the 3rd inning it probably ends up on the street.

(Oh, and maybe it's because of last year, but I didn't get a word about my Sox stuff all day, haha).

Note #2: These were free tix, so no I didn't pay to go to Wrigley.

YES!

Nothing better than bashing a Cubs player while using a Simpsons' reference.

Hell no, I'm not an idiot.

EDIT: Jimbo, your an idiot. After further review on MLB.TV, the Cub TV guys specifically said how that ball had "no help from the wind as it's pretty much stopped blowing" and they then showed the flags not moving.

*sighs*

Santo was probably too busy yelling, OH no, OH no.
