Maybe re-stock the farm with the loss of Gio and Hag?

 

I am completely clueless with the draft this year...

I'd love to see the farm restocked with pitchers, but I have no idea about the draft and what players are in it.

yeah i never used to follow the draft, but now im in college and have a handful of buddies from our team that will likely get drafted and have already had a few.....not to mention i get to see a ton of great college players in the SEC ....100 Ks in 42 IP is unreal.....especially for a lefty...where is he from, and if you dont mind me askign whats his name?....and also wheres he gonna play college ball

BA's top 20 prospects in the draft. BA also said in their chat today that Hochevar will most likely be back in the draft.

They think that this draft may see a record for collegiate pitchers taken.  My hope is that Max Scherzer somehow slides big time.  He's a hell of a pitcher (Mizzu) but has had some minor injuries this year. Mix that with him maybe fronting and asking for a lot of money (not ridiculous money) and who knows.

Scherzer is a total stud but he has not pitched much lately. He missed a few starts due to shoulder stiffness or something (basically overwork) and has been in and out of the rotation since. Even when he has been pitching he hasn't been going deep into games.

 

I would love for the Sox to land him because he just blows away college hitters with his fastball and has decent secondary pitches that have the look of pitches that can develop into something better. I don't think he will fall to 29 though because he was on a short list for the Royals #1 pick a while ago.

    Considered a possible number one pick pre-season, but his stock has slipped a bit due to injuries, erratic control, and his perceived bonus demands. Has a 2.67 ERA in six starts with a 36/10 K/BB in 34 innings. His innings have been limited this spring due to biceps tendonitis, although he has pitched well when on the mound. Could still go very high if he is healthy down the stretch.
