38...

And Frank did it against the unhittable Jake Westbrook.

4-2 Oakland.

YESSS

I still fear Cleveland more than Detroit.

What'd Coop have to say?

Really took exception with the idea that the Sox are sucking - 34 wins, only 2 games out. Said they just hit a rough patch and they just need to "go out and kick some ass!" Emphasized that "we're the world freakin' champions".

Let's hope he got that message through to the pitching staff.

one way to take exception: On the field.

Don't think I've done this in a game thread since Opening Day...it worked last year, and I think this series is big enough.

Thunder (x10)

I was caught

In the middle of a railroad track (Thunder)

And I knew there was no turning back (Thunder)

My mind raced

And I thought what could I do (Thunder)

And I knew

There was no help, no help from you (Thunder)

Sound of the drums

Beatin' in my heart

The thunder of guns

Tore me apart

You've been - thunderstruck

Went down the highway

Broke the limit, we hit the town

Went through to Texas, yeah Texas

And we had some fun

We met some girls

Some dancers who gave a good time

Broke all the rules, played all the fools

Yeah, yeah, they, they, they blew our minds

I was shakin' at the knees

Could I come again please?

Yeah the ladies were too kind

You've been - thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck

Oh, thunderstruck

Yeah

Now we're shaking at the knees

Could I come again please?

Thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck

Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah

Said yeah, it's alright

We're doing fine

Yeah, it's alright

We're doing fine

So fine

Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah,

Tunderstruck, thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Whoa baby, baby, thunderstruck

You've been thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Thunderstruck, thunderstruck

You've been thunderstruck

Please Lord, give us the good Freddy tonight.

Freddy is pitching 82-84mph tonight. That isn't going to get it done.

looks like Sunday

Well....Freddy looks crappy already.

Those score 55% of the time IIRC.

Unless Comcast's gun is off, which I don't believe it is. It looks 84 mph off his hand.

We're not going to win with soft-tossing Garcia.

Anyone have a clue what the Cell gun is saying?

You would think Sox fans would understand its probably not the best idea to judge Freddy by his 1st inning, but I guess people never learn...

That was Garcia of 2005 though. 2006 Garcia hasn't been that bad in the first inning, from what it seems. It's more that as the game goes on, the teams realize that he's not picking up his velocity.

Alright kiddies. Chat is open for business. Lets get in there and support our SOX!!!

have any of the Chicago papers written a story about why Garcia has lost so much velocity?

Is this just accepted and after two-plus months of soft-tossing is he ever going to pick it up again?

I don't get it. Read not one word about an injury.

Nice, lively crowd so far.

Yeah, just as we're not supposed to judge Garland by his boxscore, or how he pitched before he was removed.

Is it just me or does Maggs look like a Chia Pet with that hairdo of his?

LOL! :D

Huge break right there.

We just got saved by the ground-rule double. Terrible pitch selection to the smart hitter.

our gold glove CF didn't get there.

He'll make up for it at the dish.

Come on Freddy...Get your head in the game.
