ESPN says that Ordonez is replacing Manny Ramirez, who will not play in the All Star Game. Didn't Guillen say Crede was the next to go no matter what? What's going on here? Did Guillen not have a say or what?

Well, Ozzie said he hasn't gotten word from baseball that Manny wouldn't be coming, so he hasn't done anything.....

espn is claiming its official. I think it was nice of Ozzie to take Magglio(and the right baseball move too) and its nice that both him and Magglio have sort of buried the hatchet. I would think that Jermaine Dye will end up starting in the OF but that's just my guess

Ozzie had said he will determine who starts (Mags or Dye) depending on who starts for the National league. He said he will see who matches up better???? Seeing how they are both Right-handed batters, I wonder how he determines that???

Dye should start, and with Ozzie managing I assume he will, it's nice since he is (in my opinion) the most deserving White Sox player, and one of the most deserving of any team in either league.

Maggs is deserving. Ozzie said that he is mulling starting either Dye or Vernon Wells. He may go with Wells since there is no other natural CF. This was in the Sun-Times the other day.

Ichiro, Vlad and Manny were the selected players, that's 2 RFs and a LF, no CF. Wells is probably the 2nd best defensive CF in the American League and is having a great season. It only makes sense to have a CF start the game if you have the choice, this way you don't have to play anyone out of position.

Either way the White Sox will be well represented at the All Star game.
