If not for that the more talented Dave Gilmore wouldn't have been in Floyd. Edit: My favorite Barrett story is back in the early 70's when he was all drugged up and kidnapped a producers cat and fed it acid and the cat went bonkers. Syd had some serious issues. Gilmore wouldn't have been in a more high profile position in the band if not for Barrett going bonkers. That is what I was saying.
